Easily some of the best pizza I've ever had - better even than Piasan's in Madison. Boom! There I said it. Pizza is such a simple dish, and making a great pizza is all about getting the fundamentals right. Tincino's nails the fundamentals. A nicely seasoned thin crust that is crispy on the bottom and soft and doughy on top, a rich (but not overpowering) tomato sauce (margarita), topped with a nice layer of perfectly melted Wisconsin mozzarella. It's NY style pizza at its best with two small caveats. 1) The slices aren't big enough to qualify as NY style. 2) It's better than any NYC pizza I've ever eaten. If you're hungry and would like the full Tincino Pizzeria experience I would recommend getting the house salad and an order of bread sticks to start out the meal. This will give you a reason to try their homemade House dressing and garlic dipping sauce. You can even buy a bottle of the House dressing to take home. Again, two very simple dishes made great with quality ingredients and attention to detail.

Service was pleasant and rapid. Bit of a concern to learn that the person who owns this establishment owns the NG Hotel Restaurant as well and his wait staff are forced to pull "double-duty" between the two locations. Not sure of the efficacy of this modus operandi--this may have contributed to the service as reflected in the review I gave the other restaurant. Wings were well-fried, meaty, and tasty. Everyone loved the Hawaiian pizza. We also had a rather loaded chicken salad that was very fresh and tasty. Price was A-OK. If we ever come back through New Glarus we will probably stop here.

My boyfriend and I came in here on a Saturday afternoon. We sat at the bar and decided to just start our order with the bread sampler. It consisted of garlic bread, cheese garlic bread, and breadsticks. The garlic bread and cheese garlic bread had been made with english muffins instead of bread. There was nothing to indicate this was the case, and we wouldn't have ordered them had we known. The breadsticks were undercooked, so that was another loss. After that we just couldn't order more food. It was time to move on. Plus it was over 80 degrees outside and there was no air conditioning on in the restaurant. Instead they just had one door open. It was really hot and humid.

seriously? i want to know what crack everyone is smoking because this pizza was easily top 5 worst i've ever had. the shame is that we went here expecting something amazing based on these reviews. first of all, there was ONE WAITRESS WORKING on a saturday afternoon. the place was packed, of course. we seated ourselves and it just got better from there. two beers and a small pizza took about 90 minutes to see through to the end. the lady's restroom was totally gross and did not have hot water... hmm, pretty sure that's a health code violation folks. there were flies everywhere and water and toilet paper on the ground. i heard the men's room was worse... but i don't have first hand knowledge of that one :-) we ordered a thin crust cheese pizza with tomatoes and sausage on half. the pizza came out burned. the crusts were blackened. there was so much grease floating on top of the pizza (a side effect of fake and overly processed and cheap cheese - not sure about the reviewer who claimed it was wisconsin mozarella - we asked the waitress who said it was a cheddar/mozz combo they buy pre-shredded in bulk) that we had to use about 90 napkins to just make it palatable. the sausage was tasteless and tiny and generic. the tomatoes looked like they came out of a can. the cutting of the pizza was hysterical - two ENORMOUS slices and the rest were tiny. when our lone waitress finally came back to the table to ask if we wanted a box, we said sure... and she wrapped the pizza up in paper. think: little caesers. by the time we got home, the paper was completely translucent from grease. we ended up tossing it out. one more fun fact... the waitress saw me twirling a pen while i was taking notes and she ended up telling us a little story about how the only people who did that when she was in high school were "the orientals or the engineers." yeah. just about as offensive as that pizza.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the pizza here! My husband and I recently moved to New Glarus and the first thing we did was find out where to get good pizza. This is it! It's got a fairly thin crust and the cheese is delish! A decent variety of toppings to choose from as well. Definitely worth the visit!
